Two Distinct Jazz Eras about a Piano Legend and a Musical Chameleon
Born To Swing is a Broadway-style musical produced by Publicist-Producer Adrienne Lillette Harris and starring Actress-Singer MzChele Harris. The two sisters are co-founders of Harris & Harris Productions LLC. They are also the daughters of the late entertainment couple Bud and Lillette Harris. The musical revue exposes an unknown event in music history to the world. This story is based on the life of Harlem born legendary jazz concert pianist and entertainer Lillette Jenkins-Wisner. She rose to fame during the 1940s through the 1980s as Lillette Harris. In Born to Swing Lillette Harris' music arrangements are brilliantly directed by Grammy Award winning musician Jeanine McAdams.

Lillette and her first husband Comedian, Actor, and Talent Manager Bud Harris owned and operated Lillette’s Rhythm Club the first Black-owned Casino, Nightclub, and Hotel in Sparks Nevada in 1945… The “Born To Swing” musical is exciting. The show introduces 18 of Lillette’s unique Jazz arrangements from a variety of Broadway Shows and other composers.  Choreographed dance moves, costumes and visuals give this show a real Broadway Style feel….The show has been in previews since 2021 and audiences seem to love learning the history about Lillette's Rhythm Club while enjoying the story of Bud and Lillette. Along with all the excitement through song and dance it's a show not to be missed..

Lillette passed away August 25, 2020 but her work and legacy still live on through Lillette's Foundation for the Arts Inc. which is celebrating its 20th year anniversary of keeping the arts alive and thriving through cultural music events.
